A fresh controversy has erupted around Pakistan star all-rounder Imad Wasim after his former wife, Sannia Ashfaq, levelled serious allegations and appealed for justice for her children. Ashfaq claimed Wasim forced her to undergo an abortion in December 2023 in Lahore, an ordeal she said left her with deep physical and emotional trauma. She maintained the decision was not hers and alleged she received no support during the difficult period. According to Ashfaq, attempts to speak out were met with efforts to silence her, while she also faced negative campaigns on social media. Before going public with her allegations, Ashfaq said she approached Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi seeking intervention and assistance in the matter. She later shared a series of emotional messages online, emphasising that her objective is to seek truth and justice rather than revenge. As of now, Imad Wasim has not publicly responded to the claims. The controversy has triggered strong reactions online, with many users calling for a fair and transparent inquiry into the serious allegations raised by Ashfaq.
