Infant Jesus High School, Colva and St. Joseph’s Educational Institute, Chandor moved into the semi-finals of U-14 Salcete Zone inter-school football tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Government ground, Manora, Raia on Monday.
Infant Jesus High School recorded a fluent 3-1 win over Bethany Convent High School, Sao Jose de Areal. They were leading 3-0 at the break.
Sneeden Rodrigues scored a brace while Keegan Menezes was the other scorer for Infant Jesus. Vishal Diwale reduced the margin for Bethany Convent.
St. Joseph’s, Chandor upsetMarina English High School, Verna by a solitary goal. The all-important goal was scored by Lovito Hilario.
Infant Jesus will face St Joseph while St Anthony’s, Majorda will meet Our Rosary High School, Majorda in the semi-finals on Tuesday.
