PANJIM: Iqbal XI, Karimabad, Sunny Cricket Club and Panjim Gymkhana entered the semi-finals of 50th Bandodkar T20 Trophy Cricket organized by Panjim Gymkhana at GCA ground, Porvorim.
Karimabad got the better of Betim by 18 runs. Karimabad won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 111/8 in 20 overs. Puspashil Desai 24, Harish Naik 17, Naresh Parsekar 12, Sachin Sardesai 13, Basuraj Madar 11 top-scored for Karimabad. Sunil Kundaikar 2/12, Nilesh Bhonsle 2/11, Nishakant Bhonsle 1/13, Kiran Shirvoikar 1/28, Dhiraj Phadte 1/25 were the wicket takers for Betim.

In reply, Betim were bundled out for a meager 93/10 in 18.3 overs. Pradosh Walke 15, Vidas Phadte 17, Sunil Kundaikar 12 top-scored for Betim. Krishna Usgaokar was the wrecker-in-chief picking up 3/18. He was well supported by Puspashil Desai 2/15, Basuraj Madar 1/12 and Naresh Parsekar 1/6.
On Tuesday, Sunny Cricket Club got the better of Mahalaxmi Cicket Club by six wickets to move into the semi-finals.
Mahalaximi CC were bundled out for 107 in 18.1 overs. Aniket Shet 14, Eshwar Tari 14, Sandesh Tari 11, Akshay Madkaikar 23 not out. Pramod Azgaonkar (4), Suraj Sawal (3), Mukund Bandodkar, Rahul Sararkar and Rohan Shetty picked up one wicket each.
Sunny CC chased the total in 17.1 overs with six wickets in hand. Satyan Belekar 26, Videsh Usgaonkar 10, Suraj Sawal 24 not out and Nilkhant Narvekar 29 not out. Akshay Madkaikar clinched three wickets while Sandesh Tari took one wicket.
In another match, Panjim Gymkhana thumped Rudreshwar YS by 69 runs to book their berth in the semis.
Panjim Gymkhana set a total of 157 for the fall of seven wickets. Paresh Misquin 18, Yeshwant Barde 53, Debashish Bagehi 42, Balkrishna Misquin 16 and Mohamad Ali 16. Sagar Sawant, Pritam Salgaonkar, Anand Mazalkar and Pramod Naik clinched one wicket each.
In reply, Rudreshwar YS fell short off 69 runs. Pritam Salgaonkar 14, Sagar 10 and Aniket Shetgaokar 13. Debashish Bagehi (3), Saifali Kawaja (3), Mohamad Ali (2), Marvin Carvalho and Aniket Shetgaokar picked up one wicket each.
