MARGAO: Kick Boxing, a relatively new martial arts game received a major boost with the Kick Boxing Association of Goa (KBSAG) conducting a training and coaching camp at Cabo-de-Rama, Betul.
More than 200 boys and girls participated in the day long event for under-13 and under-19 categories.
BJP State Secretary Sheikh Jina was the chief guest for the camp and assured full support for the KBSAG for the development of the sport.
The participants were provided training and a demonstration was shown by kick boxing coaches Aslam Sheikh, Raghavendra Bhableshwar, Aryan Sharma, Altaf Antroli and Dharshan Bhandari.
KBSAG President Raymond Hilario disclosed that kick boxing coaching centres are functional at Cuncolim and Rawanfond, Navelim and two more centres at Margao and Curtorim will be opened soon.
“KBSAG will also organise kick boxing sub juniors and juniors National championships at Goa in May next year,” he added.
