MARGAO: The King’s School will organise their King’s Football League, a funds raiser to support treatment for Mario Soares, Former India International Football player, from January 10 to 12. The school had recently contributed to his cancer treatment. The KFL is one of the school’s many initiatives to raise funds for cancer patients.
The league is open to all school alumni, current students, parents, staff, and well-wishers over the age of 16. The school has actively raised funds of over Rs 1.5 crore and reached out to over 250 patients and NGOs supporting the cause of cancer.
A pop bazaar will be also held during the above three days. The initiatives are headed and curated by the school chairman Melvin Pereira and School Director Ligia Pereira. The school expects a huge turnout for the KFL which is in its 9th Edition.
