Both teams began on equal footings. Anil Shivolkar and Mathew Colaco started on the forefront for Cavelossim while Lallawmsanga and Dilip Manger created moves for Corps of Signals.
SCC Cavelossim’s Mathew Colaco set up Anil Shivolkar in the second minute inside the Corps of signals box but Jeremia L came to the team’s rescue with a well timed tackle.
Minutes later, Cavelossim’s Aaren D’Silva low grounder was easily collected by rival keeper Stejin S.
Dilip Manger of Corps mustered two quick moves in the 6th and 8th minute, but both his efforts were way off target.
At the other end, Cavelossim too had chances to score in the 26th and 30th minute through Mathew Colaco, but both his efforts sailed over the bar.
Finally in the 38th minute, Mathew gave the lead to Cavelossim when he headed Anil Shilvolkar’s cross.
Crossing ends, Corps of signals came back strongly and scored the equaliser in the 53rd minute through substitute Cyril Dias.
Cavelossim’s super-sub Snedden Medeira impressed after coming from the bench.
Snedden finally scored in the 90th minute winner for Cavelossim, making amends to his previous lapse before the winning goal.
