CALANGUTE: St Anthony’s Marna breezed past Pilerne Sports Club 4-0 to book a semi-final berth in 4th Rusi Daver memorial inter-village football tournament organized by Adarsh Yuvak Sangh at Saligao ground, Monday.
Marna played good short passes and took an early lead through Ryan D’ Souza.
After a slow start, Pilerne went all out in search of the equalizer but their forwards failed in front of the rival goal.
Marna continued to enjoy the lion’s share of ball possession as Joel Almeida doubled their lead in the 25th minute.
Changing over, Marna continued their dominance and scored two more goals through Ryan and Dylan Noronha in the 40th and 45 minutes respectively
