MAPUSA: Milagres Sports Club, Mapusa edged past Saligao Sporting Club 4-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of 12th All-Goa Arpora-Nagoa Panchayat Cup football at Arpora, Monday. The teams were locked 1-1 at full time.
Milagres surged ahead in the 10th minutes after Vijayendra Shetye’s cross deflected off Saligao’s Francis Furtado and beat the goalkeeper. Saligao equalizedthrough Noel Viegas.
In the tie-breaker, Steven Fernandes, Anup Govekar and Noel scored for Milagres while Uday Naik and Ajay Diwadkar converted for Saligao.
