GUDI-PARODA: Mount Mary’s HS, Chinchinim had to wait until the tie-breaker to shoot-out Assumpta Convent HS, Sarzora 5-3 to move into the second round of the 2nd Ramnath D. Volvotkar Memorial inter-school football tournament organised by “Insight” The Society for Sports, Culture, Youth Affairs & Charity of Gudi Paroda, at Gudi – Paroda ground, on Friday.
Both the teams played well in the full session.
Mount Mary’s missed two scoring chances in the first session through Saheel Veer. Prem Bukaam excelled in the midfield for Mount Mary’s.
After a goalless draw, in the ensuing tie-breaker, Mount Mary’s HS scored through Cidroy Pereira, Saheel Veer, Shario Gomes, Deepal Talwar and Prem Bukkam while Adrial Menezees, Nash Fernandes and Wayne Gracias were on target for Assumpta Convent HS, Sarzora.
Saheel Veer was adjudged as the player-of-the-match.
