MANDREM: Nerul Sports Club edged out Dunes Sports Club, 5-4, in a thrilling tie-breaker to advance to the semi-finals of the 2nd Rosary Cup Mandrem 2024, held at the Mandrem village panchayat ground, Mandrem.
In the 8th minute, Deu Sangelkar of Nerul SC missed a golden opportunity from the six-yard box. However, Aniket Agarwadekar opened the scoring for Nerul SC in the 10th minute, followed by a second goal from Sangelkar in the 14th minute.

Dunes Sports Club was awarded a penalty in the 35th minute, which Myson Britto successfully converted, making the halftime score 2-1 in favour of Nerul SC.
In the second half, Cyprian Rodrigues scored in the 47th minute to level the score at 2-2, which remained unchanged until the end of regular time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Nerul SC emerged victorious with successful shots from Aniket, Akush, Aman, Chaitan, and Yeshwant. Dunes Sports Club’s Leslie, Myson, Jordan, and Reniel also scored, but Nerul SC clinched the win with a final tally of 5-4.
