SAO JOSE DE AREAL: Nuvem SC defeated Fr Agnel YC, Paroda by a solitary goal to move into the quarter-finals of the 37th Sao Jose de Areal Panchayat Cup organised by Sao Jose de Areal SC, at Padribhat Sao Jose de Areal ground, on Saturday.
Nuvem’s Metan Coutinho who netted the match-winner with a snap shot off Stephen Colaco’s assist in the 11th minute.
15 minutes later, Paroda striker Kanchan Kiro’s shot hit the rival post.
In the 46th minute, Sezwin Fernandes’ shot was brilliantly saved by Nuvem keeper Lourenco Dias.
Nuvem SC will now meet the winner of Rossman Cruz Nagoa-Verna and Navelim SC in the quarter-finals on October 1.
