CURCHOREM: Nine-year- old Om Arvind Chavan, student of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Convent School, Curchorem bagged the gold medal in the 50 meters race and equalised the State record in completing the race within 7.5 seconds at Primary and High Schools Sports event organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Bambolim Athletic stadium.
In the 100 meters 4×50 meters the girls team of the school bagged the silver medal while the boys got the bronze medal.
Congratulating the students, Principal Sr. Pereira said, “The medals which they received is a determination and hard work put in by the students and asked them to continue it to achieve laurels not only at the State level but at National and International level too.”
