NAGOA: Churchill Brothers SC and Sesa football Academy match ended 2-2 draw in the U-18 AIFF match played, at Utorda ground, on Tuesday.
Just in the second minute Sesa striker Laishram Meithi shot was saved by Churchill keeper Piyush Rathod. Churchill tried to score through midfielder Prathamesh Satyawan but the latter’s power drive shot was saved by Muhammad Shakil keeper of Sesa in the next minute.
Within two minutes, Churchill midfielder Hussein Pindjar’s shot was pushed away to safety by Sesa keeper.
Churchill netted the first goal of the match through midfielder Hussain Pinjar off Atif Mujawar assist with a placement shot in the tenth minute but the joy was short lived as within three minutes Naobi Singh equalised Sesa with a penalty kick.
Churchill Brothers coach Marcelino Pereira brought on Hussain Pinjar who gave Churchill the lead with a grounder in the 23rd minute.
In the 42 minute, Sesa through Chauhan Anil’s shot hit the Churchill post.
Post resumption, Churchill midfielder Pidroy Carvalho shot from close range but the latter shot over the Sesa bar in the 47th minute.
Minutes later, Sesa’s Chauhan Anil missed the Churchill target by whiskers,this shot of Laishram Meithi of Sesa was superb one but hit the Churchill post and went out of play.
In the 53rd minute, Churchill Brothers midfielder Clayton Luis was dangerously brought down by Shoib Akhtar. Match referee Sharad Naik flashed yellow card to Shoib.
In the 89th minute, striker Laishram Meithi made it level for Sesa with snap shot to make it 2-2.
