At the end of first half, Chandor were leading 2-1. Raia Sporting Club got off to a perfect start as Remedious Pango put the team ahead in the 12th minute with a grounder which crushed into the nets of Chandor.
Raia Sporting Club with the opening goal slowed down their pace which provided an advantage to Chandor Sports Club to attack the rival defence. Rosario Fernandes’ attempted header went wide off Carry Vaz’s cross.
Thereafter, Chandor Sports Club equalized in the 21st minute through Joseph Fernandes’ header off a corner kick taken by Johny D’Cruz.
Chandor revitalized with the equalizer, soon extended their lead by 2-1 through Sunny Fernandes’ powerful grounder with an assist from team-mate Jason Barbosa.
Post resumption, Raia Sporting Club tried to equalize but in vain. Chandor also made an attempt through Sunny’s solo effort but the powerful grounder was well collected by Raia goalkeeper Cosme Oliveira.
