Pateshwar Sports Club, Mayem won the late Mariano Fernandes trophy beating Vijayanand Sports Club 3-2 in the football tournament at Chatrapati Shivaji maidan, here. They won Rs 5555 while Vijayanand had to be content with Rs 3333.
Other prizes: Best goalkeeper Anthony. Best player Navnathe Chodankar. First goal in the final Navnath Chodankar; Best disciplined team Rashtoli club.
The prizes were given away by GTDC Vice-Chairman, Lindon Montero, Mayem MLA, Anant Shet, Mayem Sarpanch Tulshidas Chodankar; Fr Ubaldo Fernandes Mayem panch Rajendra Usapkar and Suhasini Kinalkar.
