PANJIM: Pax of Nagoa blank Don Bosco Oratory (DBO), Fatorda 3-1 in an exciting match to sail into the semi-finals of 22nd inter-village Lourdes festival soccer organized by United Club of Utorda in memory of AV Antao and Wency Pereira, at SAG ground, Utorda. Pax of Nagoa were leading by 2-0 at the lemon break.
The game started on a fast pace and DBO missed a golden opportunity to open the account in the sixth minute but striker Clencio Pinto headed straight into the safe hands of rival goalkeeper.
In the 17th minute, Ajoy Satarkar put Pax of Nagoa ahead and soon, Menino Pereira accurately converted a penalty in the 25th minute.
After crossing over, DBO made several inroads into rival territory and missed couple of chances to score. They finally managed to reduce the margin in the 66th minute through the boots of Roger Azavedo.
Pax of Nagoa sealed the fate of DBO in the 68th minute with Clive Cohelo scoring the third goal.
