Penha de Franca scored a hard fought 2-1 victory over Adarsh Yuvak Sangh to move into the quarter-finals of Rama Naguesh Shirodker memorial soccer organised by Chapora Yuvak Sangh, at Chopra ground on Thursday.
Penha De Franca found the net in the 16th minute through Savio Monteiro.
Adarsh mounted pressure and succeeded in levelling the score in the 20th minute through Avelino Fernandes.
Penha de Franca regained the lead in the 47th minute through Usman.
Yesterday, St Savio Sports Club, Calangute scored a hard fought solitary goal victory over Saligao Sporting Club to move into the quarter-finals.
St Savio scored the match-winner in the 17th minute through Rajkumar Naik.
