Gomes, Dr Robin Petersen, Kushal Das, Shrinivas 
Dempo at GIFT summit organized by GFDC at Mira Mar, 
Friday.

PANJIM: The draft of the Goa Football Policy which was released by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar revolves around talent, competitions, coaching, infrastructure, revenue, stated GFDC’s member secretary Elvis Gomes. The renovated Tilak Stadium in Vasco with arena lights will be inaugurated on March 23, added Elvis.

Parrikar lauded Dr Rufino. “He has done an excellent job. I played football at school and ITI levels and as such I am a football fan. Football gets you through life as one learns to show determination, hard work, endurance, team spirit, coordination and it is both an individual as well as a team sport,” stated Parrikar.

“My target is to see as many Goans (at least half of the squad) in the India football team when India hosts the World U-17 Cup in India in 2017,” he reiterated.
