Panjim, March 4 : Pune FC beat Air India 2-1 in an I-League match on Friday at Balewadi Sports Complex, Pune on Friday.
Air India’s Okorogor fired home a right footer to the right of Subrata Paul in the 31st minute.
Brazilian Edmar Figueira (man-of-the-match) and Izumi Arata scored late in the second half to help Pune FC make a splendid rally to beat Air India.
The first half belonged to Air India without doubt. Pune FC showed no urgency in creating chances, while Air India played with purpose all through.
Pune kept probing and the visitors kept defending with Edmar making no mistake to score the equaliser.
Japanese midfielder Arata sent the whole stadium in celebration mode as he slotted in the second goal for Pune in the 75th minute with a rasping strike after the ball ricocheted from the upright after Paresh Shivalkar’s attempt.
Pune recorded their fourth win of the season and moved to 19 points.
