Parish Youth, Nuvem swamped Maina Sports Club 3-0 to enter the quarter-finals of 18th Super Soccer tournament organised by United Boys of Dando at St John Baptist ground, Dando, Benaulim on Friday. There was no score at half time.
Parish Youth and Maina Sports Club displayed their best in the opening session, showing urgency in their approach and going all out in search of a goal, which, however, remained elusive.
Parish Youth were a transformed lot after the break and attacked the rival citadel at regular intervals with their forwards and midfielders working in tandem to put the rival goal under tremendous pressure.
Nuvem were rewarded when Rollin Borges bulged the net after picking up a well measured through pass from Remy Colaco.
Spurred by the early success, Parish Youth went into attacking mode and made umpteen forays.
Jose Colaco doubled the lead with a swift long ranger giving no chance to the Maina goalkeeper.
After the double blows, Maina surrendered meekly without giving any fight as their defence was in disarray.
Stephen Barreto rounded off the tally late in the second half off a cross from Richard Colaco.
