DRAMAPUR: Parish Youth Nuvem defeated Curtorim Gymkhana 2-0 to enter into the semi-finals of the 40th St Joseph festival football tournament organised by Dramapur SC, at Dramapur ground on Tuesday.
Parish Youth Nuvem dominated the match proceedings.
A free kick was awarded to PY Nuvem in the 6th minute wherein Jerose stepped up and sent the ball straight towards the goal, the ball deflected off a touch from Curtorim Gymkhana defender and was grabbed by Richard Colaco who tapped the ball in to give his team the desired lead.
Josly Costa of Curtorim Gymkhana missed three sitters in the 48th, 50th and 53rd minutes.
Standly D’Mello put the final nail in the coffin as he doubled the lead in the 65th minute for Parish Youth Nuvem.
Coutorim Gymkhana tried their level best to find the nets but couldn’t penetrate PY Nuvem wall.
