VARCA: Quepem Veterans got the better of Curtorim Veterans 4-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the 1st All Goa Veterans Soccer organised by TEXAS Boys Varca, at Varca SC ground, on Friday.
At half time, Quepem Veterans lead by a goal.
Remmy Barreto gave the lead in the first half for Quepem Veterans in the ninth minute.
In the 39th minute, Mahesh Gauli passed the ball to Francis Andrade who capitalised to double the lead for Quepem Veterans. A cross from Seby Faleiro was neatly placed by Curtorim’s Johnny D’Cruz to make it 1-2 giving no chance for the keeper Camilo Baretto.
Quepem’s Francis Andrade doubled his score with a nice curling shot which gave no chance for Curtorim Veterans keeper Glorio D’Mello to make it 3-1.
Francis Andrade completed his hat-trick in the 55th minute for Quepem to make it 4-1.
Mario Pereira of Curtorim was adjudged as the Man-of-the-Match.
