MERCES: Quepem Veterans shot-out Vasco Veterans via the tie-breaker 5-4 to move ahead in the 50+ Veterans Cup, at Merces Church ground, Merces, on Wednesday.
Vasco dominated the first half having two shots hitting the post.
Neither side were able to break the deadlock.
In the tie-breaker, Quepem got the better of Vasco as they were the better shooters.
On Tuesday, Bardez Veterans defeated Candolim 2-0.
Bardez who dominated the first half scored the first goal through Aaron Alvares and had a goal lead at the break.
In the second half, Candolim enjoyed better share but missed easy chances through Chari who was set on goal by Dhondy.
Meanwhile, Ambrose inflated the lead for Bardez and the full time score read 2-0.
