RAIA: In a thrilling display of football prowess, Raia Sporting Club left the audience in awe as they outclassed A A De Majorda UC, with a resounding 4-1 victory. This impressive win earned Raia a well-deserved place in the quarter-finals of the 22nd Fr Basilio Andrade memorial football tournament, on Monday.
The match opened with a dramatic turn of events when Raia capitalised on an A A De Majorda UC goalkeeper’s mistake.
The ball slipped through the keeper’s hands and Rivo Borges was in the right place at the right time, swiftly placing it into the back of the net. It was a stroke of luck for Raia Sporting Club that set the tone for the match.
Garrison Fernandes found himself in a one-on-one situation with the A A De Majorda UC goalkeeper after a precise pass from Sheehan Fernandes. However, the keeper displayed great skills, denying Garrison Fernandes an early goal.

A lone goal for A A De Majorda UC came from the skillful Ashley Rodrigues, but it was not enough to change the course of the match in favour of the hosts.
