MAINA: Rebello Pandal, Maina defeated Saint Francis Xavier, Borim 4-2 to win the 11th Rebello Pandal, Maina trophy, played at St Rita Church ground, Maina, on Sunday.
Agnes scored the first goal for Maina in the fifth minute while Mario doubled the account in the 18th minute. Rebello Pandal Maina led 2-0 at half time.
In the second half, Agnel scored the third in the 48th minute while Mario made the issues safe netting the fourth for the winners in the 50th minute.
SFX Borim pulled back two goals through Issac and Raymond late into the game.
The winners collected Rs 25,000 and a trophy while runners-up pocketed Rs 20,000.
Curtorim MLA Alex Reginald was the chief guest and gave the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of former Velim MLA Benjamin Silva promoter of sports.
