Mabel Mascarenhas capitalized on a defensive lapse by Govt. College Quepem in the eighth minute to score the opening goal for Rosary College who seemed motivated and took control of the proceedings.
Gaberiela D’Silva of Rosary College gave a fine pass to forward Ansiva Vaz who made no mistake and scored with a low range shot to put the ball in the back of the net in the 13th minute, 2-0.
Stunned by two goals, Govt. College Quepem regrouped slowly and were led by captain Michel Castanha and playmaker Precilia Kiro but Melisha Oliveira and Sabina Fernandes stood firm in the rival defense and thwarted many moves.
Subsequently, Ansiva scored her brace with a goal from long range in the 37th minute of an assist by Muriel Fernandes to put her team up 3-0.
Govt. College Quepem managed to pull one goal back in the 46th min through the boots of Flencia Clemente who had a fine game. The Player of the Match award went to Mabel Mascarenhas of Rosary College, Navelim.
