SANQUELIM: Rossman Cruz, Nagoa-Verna defeated CAC Cansaulim 4-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the of the final of Late Musa Ali Aga football tournament organised by Eagle SC, at Sankhali Municipal ground, on Thursday.
The defensive lines of both teams were active in the first nine minutes but in the 10th minute Rossman Cruz’s Visal Rego was given match orders by the match referee for an intentional fault on Cansaulim player and Rossman fought the battle with ten players.
Both the teams tried the best but missed chances as their strikers lacked sharpness and failed to convert the chances created by the midfielders.
In the tie-breaker, Rosman Cruz Nagoa Verna netted through Savio Fernandes, Noel D’silva, Bentin Barretto and Eusebio Fernandes while Chadavick Futardo, Veegan Ferrao, and Jude Fernandes scored for CAC Casnaulim.
