Saif represented the Indians Cricket Club in a friendly fixture against Luton Town, joining business leaders, philanthropists and former cricketers for the fundraising event. Dressed in traditional cricket whites, the actor looked at ease on the field as he entertained spectators with a fluent knock. Photos and videos from the match quickly went viral on social media, with many praising his batting performance.

The event featured several notable personalities, including filmmaker Nikhil Dwivedi, Samena Capital founder Shirish Saraf, Dabur chairman Mohit Burman and INOXGFL Group Executive Director Devansh Jain. Former England internationals Monty Panesar and Usman Afzaal also participated in the charity fixture.
Saif’s connection with cricket runs deep. His father, the legendary Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, captained India at the age of 21 and remains one of the country’s most iconic cricket leaders. His grandfather, Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi, represented both England and India in Test cricket and later captained India during the 1946 tour of England, making the Pataudi family one of the sport’s most distinguished lineages.
Speaking after the match, Saif said the experience was especially meaningful as it allowed him to introduce his sons, Taimur and Jeh, to English village cricket. Calling it a memorable family outing, he said it was a wonderful day spent in the sunshine with fathers and sons and a perfect way for his children to experience one of England’s most cherished cricket traditions.
The charity match combined sport, family and philanthropy, with Saif proving that cricket continues to be an integral part of the Pataudi legacy.
