FATORDA: Salgaocar Football Club (juniors) scored a thumping 6-0 win over Goa Velha Sports Club in the Goa Football Association’s Geno First Division League held in association with Jhoncy Restaurant Benaulim and played at Artificial turf, Fatorda, on Tuesday.
Salgaocar Football Club dominated the match proceedings from the start and soon found the breakthrough in the 15th minute as Ronaldo Oliveira netted the first goal past the Goa Velha Sports Club keeper.
Goa Velha Sports Club tried to get back into the game however, their strikers fumbled at the goal.
Salgaocar Football Club took advantage of the feeble side and netted their second through Dylan Lourenco in the 42nd minute.
At halftime, the score read 2-0 in favour of the Green Brigade.
Post resumption, Salgaocar Football Club started from where they left off as Ronaldo Oliveira netted two more goals in the 52nd and 58th minutes respectively before Fhezer Gomes and Arif Pathan netted a goal each in the 73rd and 75th minutes respectively to take the tally to 6-0 in favour of Salgaocar Football Club.
