PANJIM: Salgaocar FC (Juniors) thrashed Club Sao Minguel De Taleigao 7-1 in the Goa Football Association (GFA) Geno First Division League in association with Jhoncy Restaurant, Benaulim, played at Astro Turf Fatorda, on Tuesday.
The junior side went on a rampage from the word go as they scored the first goal in the 3rd minute itself through Dylan Laurenco. Ronaldo Oliveira added two more goals in the 16th and 28th minute respectively. Stephen Satarkar went on to add another in the first session additional time.
Crossing over, Ronaldo Oliveira completed his hat-trick in the 49th minute with a gone finish in the nets. Dylan Laurenco added another in the next minute of the game.
Kevin Negeredo further added misery as he made it 7-0 in the 93rd minute.
Pritesh Sawant pulled one down for the losers as the Green Brigade began the league on a positive note while the opponents Taleigao faced their second defeat of the league as they lost to St. Savio SC 1-0 in their first game.
Elsewhere, Dempo SC (Juniors) and Youth Club of Manora played out a goalless draw, at Sirsaim ground. Both teams failed to open their accounts as they lacked finishing. The teams gained their first points of the league as Manora team lost their previous encounter while this was the Golden Eagles first game.
Meanwhile, in the Second Division League, Dunes Sports Club beat Saligao Sporting Club 2-1 in a game played at Quitula ground.
