Saligao ahead

Saligao United scored a facile 4-1 win over United Club of Nerul to move into the quarter-finals of 17th Pilerne Panchayat Cup inter-village soccer tournament organised by Pilerne Sports Club, at Maddanim ground, Pilerne on Saturday. Saligao led 1-0 at the breather.
Saligao took the lead in the 10th minute through Christopher D’Souza. Nerul restored parity in the second session through John Vaz.
Martin Fernandes doubled the lead for Saligao in the 54th minute while Pravin Jadev found the net in the 65th minute. Nester Dias rounded off the tally for Saligao in the 65th minute.
