MAPUSA: Saligao United SC managed to edge past Sinquerim SC by 2-1 margin in the St Anthony’s Cup 2024 organised by St Anthony’s SC, Marna-Siolim, at Siolim ground, on Monday.
Sinquerim SC opened their account after Aryan Salunke crossed the ball into the box and Krish Naroji tapped the ball into the goal, 1-0.
Saligao United SC equalised through Leon Kerketa with a neat tap into the goal, after Narayan Chodankar had floated the ball into the penalty area, 1-1. Saligao United SC increased the lead through Narayan from a pass by Latesh Mandrekar, 2-1.
Narayan Chodankar received the man-of-the-match award.
