Cuncolim Union kicked off with vigour and during the entire first half matched Ambelim Sports Club in every aspect of the game and also had couple of chances to take the lead.
The teams played attacking football which excited the spectators. Cuncolim Union was solid in defence and gave very few chances to Ambelim to penetrate the goal area.
Everything changed for Cuncolim Union in the second half as they started losing the midfield battle to Ambelim Sports Club which put pressure on the four players.
Samson took full advantage of this as he ran into the gap between the stopper and full back of Cuncolim Union and with powerful left footed shot scored a fantastic goal to give his team a lead.
After a few minutes, Ambelim Sports Club doubled the lead when Samson again perfectly controlled a long aerial ball from the midfield and coolly lobbed it over the onrushing Cuncolim Union goalkeeper.
It was all over for Cuncolim Union when Neil made it 3-0 for Ambelim with a calm finish from inside the box.
