FATORDA: San Antonio Warriors, Guirim got the better of Gudi Sports Club 4-1 to move into the final of the Goans Hockey organized by Goans Hockey at outside PJN Stadium, Fatorda, on Tuesday.
San Antonio Warriors dominated the first half with Raju Rathod and Pandurang Gaonkar with upfront moves while Vallah Goankar was at his best for Gudi SC.
Sidesh opened the account for San Antonio Warriors in the 12th minute by tapping the ball inside the Gudi SC net after deflecting Rohit Goankar of Gudi SC.
Pandu made it 2-0 for San Antonio Warriors in the 18th minute while Vallah reduced the margin for Gudi SC in the 32nd minute.
San Antonio Warriors scored two quick goals from the sticks of Pandu and Raju Rawat in the 39th and 41st minute. The forward line of Gudi SC was not up to the mark. San Antonio Warriors Raju’s scope of scoring a goal was denied by the rival goalkeeper in the 43rd minute.
Gudi SC Shakeel’s penalty was denied by the cross piece of San Antonio Warriors in the 46th minute.
