SOLVA-RAIA: Sanjay Centre for Special Education, Porvorim defeated St Xavier’s Academy, Old Goa 1-0 to lift the Good Shepherd organisation trophy All Goa 7-A-Side football tournament for special children of schools, at Navelim, on Saturday.
St Xavier’s Navdeep Pavnee missed chances to score in the 12th and 16th minutes.

Later in the 28th minute, Stanley Noronha of Sanjay centre for special education netted the match winner with and arrow bound shot in the 29th minute.
The winners were awarded Rs 8,000 while the runners-up had to be content with Rs 5,000 plus trophies
PI Crime branch Filomena Costa was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runner up in the presence of Sr Anny Fernandes, Jesel Carneiro, ISL player Fr.Salvador Carvalho, Eddie Fernandes, Oswaldo Da Costa, Arnald D’Costa, Likton Gonsalves, Camilo Gomes, Cedric D’Costa and other dignitaries.
