PANJIM: Sanjay Centre for Special Education, Porvorim made Goa proud by winning Gold medals in Football, Volleyball, and Aquatics at the National Special Olympics Bharat, Gujarat.
Sanjay Centre for Special Education won three gold medals in volleyball, seven in football and one in aquatics.
The volleyball winners include Fatima Rodrigues, Tanvi Rane and Sahil Naik .
The football winners are Samir Das, Sanathan, Rodrigues, Vishal Bhomkar, Fatima Rodrigues, Tanvi Rane, Anisha Narvekar and Shitu Ghadi (Sanjay School- Curchorem)
Physical Education teacher Samantha D’Costa accompanied the students for both the above events.
In aquatics held at Mysore, Karnataka, in 50m free style, Sachin Suvarna won gold medal, Narayan Naik won Bronze medal and Mast Prabesh won on 5th position.
In 25m free style, Narayan Naik won gold medal, Godfrey Silva won gold and Kennedy won silver medal
In 25m back stroke, Prabesh Chauhan won gold, Sachin Suvarna won silver and Kennedy Joao won silver.
In 4*25m free style relay mast Kennedy Joao, Prabesh Chauhan, Narayan Naik and Sachin Suvarna won bronze respectively.
