MARGAO: Panchwaddi United Sports Club got the better of Chandor Club 5-3 via the tie-breaker to romp into the quarter-final of All-Goa Varca Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament organized by Varca Sports Club at Varca ground, on Friday. There was no score at full time.
Both the teams displayed attacking brand of soccer and kept the crowds on their toes. There were few thrills at either end, as defenders stood tall in protecting the citadel intact.
Crossing over, both the teams showed urgency as a result there were flurry of attacks but goalkeepers effected superlatives saves to keep their slate clean .
Panchwaddi had last laugh in the tie-breaker. Stanley H of Chandor Club was declared man-of-the-match.
