Antonio D’Souza finished second while Tukaram Shetye settled for the third position.
Sushant Naik, Atmaram Aroskar, Devendra Vaigankar, Gajanan Parab, Aapa Dhuri, Akshay Talkar and Pundalik Thakur secured the fourth to 10th places respectively. Special prizes were given to Ulhas Falari, Vidhi Gaude and Shivam Gaude.
The tournament was inaugurated by Pandurang Parab, ex North ZP President and Subhash Parsekar, secretary of PTCA in the presence of Samir Daure, president of SSCSC.
Prizes were distributed by Aarendra Naik, ADEO and Sanjay Tulaskar, aarpanch in the presence of Prabhakar Shetye, president of PTCA, Vasant Naik, Secretary of Mormugao Taluka Chess Association; Subhash Parsekar; Swapnil Hoble, SAG coach and Samir Daure.
