RAIA: Sao Jose de Areal defeated Parish Youth Nuvem, 1-0, to move into the quarterfinal of the 1st Vauradencho Ixtt Trophy 2025, organised by Batora United Curtorim, in association with Margao Sports Club, at DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Wednesday.
Sao Jose de Areal netted the match winner through David Colaco in the 48th minutes.
Daryl Costa of Sao Jose de Areal was presented man-of-the-match award from chief guest Joaquim Gunja in the presence of Roque Carneiro and Frankly Rebello.
Earlier on the inaugural day, on Tuesday, Curtorim XI defeated Pillar Father XI, 2-1, in the exhibition match.
Pascoal Fernandes and Agnelo Gomes scored one goal each for Cutorim, while Fr Denzil reduce the margin for Pillar Father’s.
