PANJIM: Om Madgaonkar of Saraswat RCC, Mapusa took six wickets giving away 21 runs to carve out five-wicket win over Borda RCC in the U-16 Saurabh Sardesai memorial inter-RCC cricket tournament, organised by Vasco Warriors Cricket Academy at SAG ground, Chicalim, on Monday.
Put to bat first by Saraswat RCC, Borda inning was dismissed for 54 runs in 18.3 overs.
Tushar Kudnekar (18) was the top scorer for Borda.
While Om took six wickets, Kaushal (3/16) and Vedang Naik (1/12) were the other wicket takers for the winners.
In reply, Saraswat RCC scored 55 for the loss of five wickets in 13.5 overs. Vedang Naik (24) was the vital contributor for the winners.
Tushar Patel of Borda RCC took four wickets in 26 runs.
Saraswat RCC’s Om Madgaokar received the Man-of-the-match award.
