RAIA: SCC Loutolim thrashed Mormugao United SC 4-0 to move into the quarter-finals of Basilio Andrade memorial football tournament organised by Associacao Academica de Majorda-Utorda-Calata, at Musson ground, Majorda, on Sunday. Shelford Fernandes scored a hat-trick for SCC Loutolim while Hanso Cardozo added his name to the scorers list. In the first half, SCC Loutolim were leading by two goals. For Mormugao Jaison Vaz missed two scoring chances only to beat goalkeeper while Johann Mesquita shot wide off the mark. On Saturday, Sporting Club Davorlim displayed a remarkable performance defeating Carmona SC 4-2 which earned them a coveted spot in the quarter-finals.
The game got off to an electrifying start as SC Davorlim took an early lead. Royson Colaco delivered a stunning goal in the 8th minute of the first half, setting the tone for what would be an eventful match. The team wasted no time in doubling their lead when Vellroy Colaco struck the net in the 12th minute.

SC Davorlim’s relentless pressure on Carmona’s defencee continued and they further stretched their lead in the 20th minute, with Milton Colaco finding the back of the net. By halftime, Sporting Club Davorlim was comfortably in the lead, holding a commanding 3-0 advantage. Carmona SC scored through Stanford Fernandes, Minston Costa. In the end, it was Delroy Colaco who sealed the fate of the match, scoring SC Davorlim’s fourth goal.
