CURCHOREM: Silent Boyz SC lifted the winners trophy at 14th All-Goa volleyball tournament organised by Sideshar Sports Club, Barxem-Quepem.
Silent Boyz defeated Veroda Simplimaya SC in straight sets 15-10 and 15-8 in the finals to lift the trophy and cash prize of Rs.7014 while Veroda pocketed Rs.5000.
Quepem MLA Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the best smasher – Viraj Velip, best lifter – Dheeraj Gaonkar and best defender – Aditya Velip besides winners and runners-up.
