PANJIM: Siridao Sports Club humbled Football Club of Neura 4-1 in the Ilhas Zone GFA’s 3rd Division League match at Agassaim, Sunday.
Siridao were leading 2-0 in the first half. They opened their account in the early minutes of play through Auzden Afonso. Soon Nikil Lotlekar doubled the lead.
In the second half, the match was very exciting with Siridao dominating the ball possession. Vijay of Siridao dribbled the ball from the centre moving past the rival defenders and even the Neura goalkeeper to make it 3-0.
After taking the game on their side, Neura managed to pull one back with a header from a corner kick.
Siridao then mounted pressure with usual shot passes tactic and scored the fourth goal from a power-packed shot taken by Parshuram from outside the box.
In the six matches played, Siridao won two, lost one and drew three.
In another match, USC Mardol thrashed Santo Estevam SC 7-2.
