Eight minutes before the break, Calangute’s George D’Souza’s sent in a in-swinging free-kick which was headed by Yogesh Kadam.
However, the ball was swept into the path of Marcus who brought Sporting Clube back on level terms.
Calangute failed to clear their lines after a Sporting Clube’s onslaught which led to Marcus lobbing spectacularly over the Calangute custodian to complete his brace which proved to be the match-winner.
In the closing stages, Marcus was denied a hat-trick after rounding the goalkeeper and shooting, but the Calangute defence read the script and cleared off the goal line.
