SS Dempo, Khandola Govt College in next round

PANJIM: The S S Dempo College of Commerce and Economics, Cujira, defeated Goa Dental College and Hospital, Bambolim, by 10 wickets in the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Cricket Men Championship played at Goa University cricket ground, Taleigao Plateau, on Thursday.

The Goa Dental College and Hospital won the toss and elected to bat first.

In the first Innings, the Goa Dental College and Hospital scored 81 runs for all out in 20 overs.  Atharva Naik: 21(29). Mihir Gawde 2/09, Yash Manjrekar 2/12, Gauresh Bandal 2/12.

In the second Innings, S S Dempo College of Commerce and Economics managed to score the 83 runs without losing a wicket in 7.1 overs. Devanshu Mangeuskar 52 (20), Sameer Panparoshan 21(23).

In another match, the Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Khandola, scored a narrow win over PG Goa University. The Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce won the toss and and elected to bat first.

In the first innings, the Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce scored 169 runs for all out in 19.4 overs. Shardul Shet 37 (17), Saish Gaude 31 (24), Manthan Sawant 3/28, Anand Tendulkar 2/26.

In the second innings, PG Goa University just missed by one run to claim win scoring 168 runs for all out in 20 overs. Anand Tendulkar 108 (48), Abdul Mashal 2/20, Rishab Fadte 2/35.
