MAPUSA: St Anthony’s HS Marna registered a 2-0 win over PVC Parra to enter into the quarters of the W Hotels Soccer Cup organised by Chapora YS, at Chapora ground, on Wednesday.
In the 6th minute, Pushparaj Mandrekar collected a pass from Nahshon Noronha who placed the ball into the far corner of the goal to give his side the lead.
Atish Mirajkar lost a glorious chance to level terms in the 11th minute when he failed to get the better of the keeper in a one-on-one situation.
On crossing over, three minutes later, Vasudev Agarwadekar came from the bench to head the ball into the goal off a cross from Vipul Pednekar to make it 2-0.
