PARODA: St Rock YC, Majorda got the better of Navelim Villagers 5-3 to move into the final of the 18th All-Goa Immaculate Festival soccer, at Avedem Panchayat ground, Paroda, on Sunday.
The teams dominated the proceedings in the first half and St Rock YC took the lead in the sixth minute through Royston Goes. Thereafter, Mathew Colaco doubled the lead for St Rock in the 10th minute.
Navelim Villagers scored through Aulon Gomes in the 12th minute but Leston Ferrao made it 3-1 for St Rock in the 15th minute.
On the resumption of play, the teams started attackingly and in the 48th minute, Mathew Colaco scored for St Rock.
Aldrich Coelho made it 4-2 for Navelim Villagers in the 50th minute and soon secured his brace in the next minute.
Josly Dias made it 5-3 in the 54th minute for St Rock. In the earlier semi-finals on
Saturday, Ambelim SC defeated Chandor SC 11-10 via the tie-breaker. The final is scheduled on May 8.
