St Theresa High School, Candolim scored a 2-0 win over Auxillium Convent High School, Caranzalem, and moved ahead into the second round of Tiswadi Taluka inter-school Under-17 girls football tournament organized by DSYA at Dr Remigio Pinto ground, Taleigao on Monday. In the first half the score read 1-0.
Anita Chavan scored in the 20th minute, while Mamata Patil netted second goal in the 44th minute of the second half.
In the under-14 boys football, St Theresa High School, Candolim overcame St Lawrence High School, Agasaim 2-0.
Devendra Pednekar opened the score in the 16th minute, while Rajat Yadav rounded off the tally in the 52nd minute.
