MAPUSA: St. Xavier’s High School, Korgao defeated Government High School, Torse by 64 runs to advance ahead in the U-16 Boys GCA Shri Dilip Sardessai tournament, organised by Goa Cricket Association Pedne Zone, at Warkhand ground, Pernem, on Friday.
The toss was won by St. Xavier’s HS Korgao who elected to bat.
St. Xavier HS, Korgao scored 111 for 10 in 24 overs.
Adrian D’souza 32(26), Deepraj Salgaonkar 31(39) and Shreyash Kalsavkar 16(33) were the top-scorers of the innings.
Rohan Goankar scalped three wickets while Govind Pednekar claimed two wickets.
In reply, Govt HS, Torse were bundled out for 47 in 11.5 overs.
Ganpat Dholaye 13(8) Saurav Degvekar 11(9) were top run getters.
Sahil Korgaokar scalped six wickets while Adrian D’Souza picked up three wickets.
