MARGAO: The Kings School scored a resounding 7-1 win to become the first team to book their place in the semi-finals of the 1st CSC girls U-15 inter-school Futsal Cup organised by YFA, at Chowgules Sports Centre, Margao, on Tuesday.
Lillian Fernandes and Sania Cardozo scored a hat-trick each while Kartika Rawat scored a goal.
St. Jude’s HS, Betalbatim scored a 5-2 comeback win against a spirited Rosary HS, Navelim.
Vinoshka Fernandes scored a hat-trick while Vienna Coelho and Velany Fernandes netted for the winners. Megna Madiwalkar and Divya Chancanke scored for Rosary.
Manovikas EMS scored twice late in the second half to record a vital 3-1 win over Regina Marytrum, Assolna.
Ajury Silva gave Manovikas the lead before Isha Patil levelled the score. Gretel Pereira then gave Manovikas the lead with a snap shot and Abigail Barreto put the issue to rest with a couple of minutes for the match to end.
A five-star performance from Meloshka Carvalho sent Fatima Convent HS, Margao into the semi-finals after beating Perpetual Succour Convent HS, Navelim 9-0.
Paloma Pires scored a brace and Dhanashree Desai and Wendy Miranda netted one each.
